Client Spotlight: Perspectives Coaching
Perspectives Coaching is holistic life and wellness coaching team based in Dallas, Texas. Perspectives Coaching is for those who feel their best life is yet to come.
I met Julie and John through a past client, they were in the process of launching their coaching business and needed a website. One of my favorite things is that they are a husband and wife holistic coaching team. John specialized in fitness and nutrition, while Julie focuses on life and career coaching.
It was so much fun getting to work with John and Julie because you could really see and feel their passion for helping their clients holistically.
When they came to me initially they had their logo and just finished their brand photo shoot, which really helped lay the visual foundation for the website. In addition to their brand photos we pulled simple, clean, minimalist photos to help round out the visuals. The biggest thing with this site was giving everything room to breathe, with the limited color palette and use of simple, calming images I think we achieved that vibe!
During the content phase, I sent Julie and John a basic website copy framework to help give them an idea for what wording they’d need as they’d never had a website before. Once they saw what they would need, they opted to hire a copywriter to help them craft their copy to really speak to their audience, and it shows! I highly recommend clients hiring a copywriter to help them with their website. There are so many great copywriters out there who can help write your whole site, a couple pages, or review and tweak your copy.
While I was designing the website we had a coming soon landing page so that they could start letting people know that a website was in the works, get new email subscribers, and have potential clients get in touch with them. It’s such a simple detail and takes only a few minutes to setup, but if the right details are added you’ll be able to get new email subscribers and clients while your site is being created!
In addition to their individual and combined services, Julie and John also have an online shop. Right now their shop has a couple of awesome (and really inexpensive) workout plans if you don’t live in the Dallas area to work with John in person. Initially they hired outside to get their workout plan designed but later realized that I was able to design them and hired me to create their second workout plan.
One of the benefits of hiring me to design your website and your PDFs (or freebie/opt in) is that I’m able to design your PDF as an extension of your website. One that will fit your brand and have the same aesthetic as your website. Designing PDFs is actually one of my favorite things to do!
Finally for the launch, once we’d gone through and approved all of the pages, we hopped on a video call to walk through the whole site and share various features of the site. For all aspects of each I design I not only do this full walk through, but also create custom training videos based on your site’s needs so that you can update your site confidently.
My favorite feature
It’s the little things that makes a site, am I right? For this site, my favorite feature was the little icons we added to Julie and John’s bios. I loved looking for the perfect icon that fit their brand and would add that little bit of flare. Plus I loved seeing what their little facts were (p.s. go check out Johns’ first fact - I cracked up the first time I read it!)
From the client
HOW’D YOu feel before hiring me?
Slightly overwhelmed, excited and eager to outsource! Excited to collaborate with someone on our passion project.
What hesitations did you have about working with me?
Honestly, none. I was looking to partner with someone that valued details, smooth and efficient workflows, quality work, creativity, and someone that could take my vision and make it look fabulous in web form. You were that person! :)
#NotSoHumbleBrag time! What gains, confidence, income, outcome or compliments have you been getting since we wrapped up your project?
We have done a very soft launch since we went live with our website and the feedback has been beyond what I expected! Compliments include adjectives such as "powerful", "legit", "professional", "looks like you two", "beautiful", "WOW", and "inspirational"
Gains have been a new way for current and potential clients to learn who we are and what we offer. A new way to connect. It's transparent and has been an effective way for us to gain new leads and clients in addition to building our brand.
What did you like best about working with me?
You made everything so easy!! From the initial kick-off call, feedback process through the various stages of the project, to providing great resources for me along the way (i.e. copywriters, copywriting guides, The Contract Shop, tips and tricks with various vendors and discounts) and I felt like you were "on it" and I trusted your expertise. In short I loved that I could express my creativity and ideas then hand them over to you for execution! Vision + Refinement + Implementation
Why did you choose to work with me?
You are fun to work with. Luckily, I had a glimpse of your work and communication style from the Flourish Mastermind and I loved how detailed oriented you were with systems and workflows. I also really appreciated how you leverage both left and right brain energy with your projects.
Did you enjoy the process and was it easy for you? If not, what would you suggest for improvements?
Yes, absolutely! This was very important to me from the beginning. I wanted to have fun throughout the collaboration process and trust that who I was working with could take my ideas and run with them. I also wanted to be able to learn and grow during this journey as I have never created a website for my personal business. I learned so much from Liz!
If someone asked you to describe what it's like working with me, sum it all up in one sentence!
Liz is a creative and workflow goddess especially when it comes to website design!
